18 Months & South Dakota Family Reunion

Today was Beckett's 18 Month doctor's appointment.  He weighed in at 35 pounds and 36 inches long! The doctor predicted that Beckett will be at least 6'4" but thinks he'll probably end up closer to 6'6"...As you can imagine, it was no surprise to us to hear he was going to be a tall boy. :) On another note, last weekend we had the Jansen family reunion in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  We ended up flying to Aberdeen, thus Beckett had his first plane ride!  He did great and we learned that the secret to a successful toddler flight is the iPad and lots of snacks! :) The reunion itself was great. It took place at Wylie Park/Storybook land which was a fun little amusement park.  It was wonderful to spend time with the Jansen family.  Check out some pics...

A little pre-flight meal at the DQ airport.  He's dipping toast in honey mustard...hey, whatever works!

4th of July Oooooohh.....

It has been way too long since our last post, but we are back!  The last few months have been great!  Josh and I have the best summer schedule EVER...we get to hang out with Beckett 24/7! We spent a week at the cabin for the 4th of July, and had a great time.  Beckett loves the cabin just as much as we do, which is awesome.  We are looking forward to many more fun cabin times this summer!

 First tube ride with daddy!

One of our favorite quirks that Beckett has is that when he sees something new or exciting or something he likes (especially food) he "oooohhhhs!"  It is truly the most endearing little thing, and we have been meaning to catch it on film for months.  We finally got two good videos...both "food ooohs" of course.
